詩(shī)，心跳的回響

Tired, flickering lamp

疲倦的燈光，搖曳不定，

 

Broken glass

破碎的玻璃，

 

The skies above chant a lullaby

頭頂?shù)奶炜盏吐暫叱呙咔?/p>

 

White frost

白霜覆地，

 

My question lingers

我的思緒仍在空氣中盤(pán)旋：

 

“what is a poem?”

“何以為詩(shī)？”

 

The clouds cry the tears of star-crossed lovers, constellations dancing in their wake

云朵為命運(yùn)錯(cuò)位的戀人落淚，星辰在他們身后旋舞，

 

Shrines and temples

神龕與廟宇，

 

Words carved in devotion to the skies of the gods above

虔誠(chéng)的詞句，鐫刻于獻(xiàn)給諸神的蒼穹，

 

A “poem” is a label for all our jitters

“詩(shī)”是我們所有不安的名字，

 

Drunk thoughts are sober feelings

醉語(yǔ)是真情，

 

Messy poems are clean emotions

雜亂的詩(shī)句，藏著最純粹的情感，

 

Fluttering words are the flutters of a heart

輕顫的字詞，是心跳的回響，

 

Diamond silver stains on parchment bleed the blood poets cry

銀白墨跡洇染羊皮紙，如詩(shī)人所泣之血，

 

I look back up

我再次仰望，

 

Celestial roof paling blue

天穹泛白微藍(lán)，

 

It holds a poem in itself

它本身，便是一首詩(shī)，

 

What… is a poem?

究竟……何以為詩(shī)？

 

It’s the drunk feelings of the fates that laugh and cry over bottles of rosé

是命運(yùn)女神在玫瑰酒前笑淚交織的醉意，

 

No, what is a poem?

不，何以為詩(shī)？

 

Sorrow and love.

悲傷與愛(ài)。

何以為詩(shī)？

 

A broken vase glued into a glass ballerina

是碎瓷拼接成的玻璃芭蕾舞者，

 

What is a poem?

何以為詩(shī)？

 

The dance of our blood that mingles with the laughter

是血液的舞蹈，混著笑聲起舞，

 

The words etched on crystalline snowflakes that bear the name of our lovers

是刻在晶瑩雪花上的詞句，寫(xiě)滿了愛(ài)人的名字，

 

I glance down

我低下頭，

 

And the hurricane of white washes all over

白色的風(fēng)暴撲面而來(lái)，淹沒(méi)一切。
